A 40-year male working in corporate presents in OPD with burning in the chest with dull epigastric pain for 2 months. The pain aggravated 2 hours after taking the food and sometime awakens him at night. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy reveals an ulcer in the duodenum. He has diagnosed a case of Duodenal Ulcer. Based on the case scenario give the answer to following questions:

b) Briefly discuss the pharmacology of proton pump inhibitors with the mechanism of action, site of action and adverse drug reactions.
